A job seeker who is currently and openly looking for new employment opportunities, actively applying to positions and engaging with recruiters.
Active candidates are individuals who have decided to pursue new opportunities and are proactively applying for positions, networking, and engaging with recruiters. At the executive level, active candidacy may result from various circumstances: voluntary departure, organizational restructuring, contract completion, career transition, relocation, or entrepreneurial exit. While active candidates are more accessible than passive candidates, the executive search community recognizes that candidacy status does not determine quality — many outstanding executives become active candidates for legitimate reasons. However, clients often prefer passive candidates because their current employment suggests ongoing demand for their skills. A balanced search strategy includes both active and passive candidates.
Our team is ready to help you navigate every aspect of executive recruiting.
